Formerly of Tasmania, now living among the bright lights of the nations’ sporting capital.

Due to my distinct hatred of ‘bloggers’ and blogs in general, I recently made a wager with several of my friends (via email whilst at work, no less). They bet me $50 each that I wouldn’t be able to write a blog a day, every day, from July 1st, 2012 until December 29th, 2012 (the first day of the annual Falls Music Festival in Marion Bay, Tasmania.

I would only receive the money if I wrote a blog post of 400 words or more without missing a day.

The bet started small ($350 & 2 cartons of beer). As word spread of my ridiculous endeavour, I received more pledges. I ended up with $1400 & 2 cartons of beer pledged from several dozen kind souls.

I’m did this for the money. I stopped on December 29th, after successfully writing significantly more than 400 words per day for nearly 6 months. I received $1350 & a carton of beer. I’m still waiting for $50 bucks and the other carton, I’ll let you know when I get it.

I guess this has been a good experience…?
